The Apocalypso Carol

See him coming with the clouds above:
A rampant lion and a startled dove,
Eyes ablaze with twinkly sparkly love:
The prince of glory when he comes.

Oh now carry me away to heaven,
Where I can shed all my transgression,
All I need is divine intercession
And I can fly into the sky.

Scary angels sweep across the skies,
Scaring people with a pack of lies,
Tell how everybody sinful dies:
The prince of glory when he comes.

Earthly riches come from Babylon:
Wealth acquired from the pantheon.
Keep us pure for glory later on!
The prince of glory when he comes.

Live in terror of the Son of Man,
Ruthless vengeance from a slaughtered Lamb,
Bringing terror just because he can:
The prince of glory when he comes.
