            Quasi modo geniti infantes

Like newborn infants, we come to God,

longing for pure, spiritual milk.

We long to grow into salvation.

Like starving children, we come to God,

longing to taste that the Lord is Good.

We long to grow into salvation.

Aware of our sin, we come to God,

longing to be rid of all that keeps us from God.

We long to grow into salvation.

Seeking God, we turn to Christ,

who builds his holy house with the living stones of our lives.

We long to grow into salvation.

Seeking Christ, we offer ourselves

as spiritual sacrifices to the God of love.

We long to grow into salvation.
